POSITIONALITY

. . . my learning ecology

I am a neurodivergent doctoral student navigating an institution built for linear minds and tidy timelines. My cognition is rhythmic, patterned, associative. I think in constellations, not single stars. When gatekeeping rubrics ask for a straight river, I arrive as a delta—many channels feeding a common sea.

I am not broken for refusing to compress into one channel. I am a scholar translating between modes: embodied sensing and formal analysis, improvisation and literature review, creative leaps and methodological rigor. This dissertation is not a detour around standards; it is a demonstration that scholarship can be both exacting and multimodal, both human and more-than-human (with AI as a collaborative instrument).
